With beautiful green to blue-green colors, creamy whites, and interesting patterns, Variscite is a popular material for cabochons.  This piece of Variscite is exceptionally pretty with it's patterns and it's shades of green running mostly through the middle of the stone.  I thought it would present well being wrapped in copper, annnnnd after seeing the finished piece - I really think it does.  There are several strands of copper wire running from the top right to the bottom left to hold the stone in place, but still allows you to see the beauty of the stone.  I'm very happy with how this piece turned out, and I hope the wearer does as well.
