Green Variscite Pendant Wrapped In Sterling Silver

This marquise shaped premium piece of Variscite has beautiful shades of sage green surrounded by milky white colors.  Although the wrap looks simplistic, it was a bit complex to create.  The Sterling Silver bar going across the middle of the stone is a piece of 18ga Sterling Silver wire that is held in place by the wraps on the lower left and upper right.  The legs of the wire had to be hand-formed to match the radius of the bundle before being wrapped in place.  This meant that the bundle had to be formed to match the stone, then create / shape the bar, and wrap it in place without the stone being in place.  I really like the way it came out, and love the stone that is highly polished on both sides.
