This is a premium piece of Flint from Flint Ridge, Ohio. (I'm really trying not to refer to it as "Flint Stone", even though I've named the piece Wilma.) This cabochon is cut in a Scalene Triangle shape and then highly polished to bring out the amazing colors of this stone. It is one of my larger pieces, so I added 2 extra wires (8 total) to the bundle wrap for both support and aesthetic purposes. And like many other of my pendants, I tried to keep a lot of metal off of the face of the stone to display the nature beauty of the stone, rather than the wire.
