I've had over a dozen commissioned orders recently from several friends, but I've managed to wrap a couple of stones as well. This is a premium piece of Azurite that I decided to wrap in Copper wire, but with a single strand of Sterling Silver wire mixed in also. The effect is very subtle, but that is exactly what I wanted. You can see the Sterling Silver wire on the secondary pulls on top of the stone, and at top in the bail. And the Azurite stone is much prettier in person.
Azurite is sometimes called the "Stone of Heaven". Native Americans believe that Azurite with Malachite inclusions is a Protective stone that symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth.
